Scholarship opportunities

Applications for the 2025 Global Footprints Scholarships (GFS) are opening soon. These scholarships offer life-changing opportunities for the young people in your network.

Global Footprints Scholarships allow young people to travel overseas for industry experience and to learn about sustainability in their field. Whether they come from agriculture, horticulture, or trades, they will develop leadership skills, gain a global perspective, and make a real impact in their industries.

What’s in it for the Scholars?

  • $9,000 Travel Grant to fund overseas work experience
  • Hands-On Global Industry Experience, tailored to their career and personal goals
  • A Sustainability Focus: We’re cultivating responsible leaders who are passionate about making a positive impact on the planet
  • Personalised Support: Workshops, coaching, collaboration and networking to help them grow into successful leaders

How can you get involved?

Encourage eligible young people in your community to apply, or nominate someone you think would benefit. We know that educators, parents, or employers can make a real difference in someone’s confidence in applying, and the impact of simple encouragement can transform a young person’s life.

The application period is from 1 May to 1 June 2025. The program duration is 6 to 18 months, including 20+ days of overseas work experience. Eligibility: 18-25-year-olds starting out in agriculture, horticulture, and trades – vocational careers only.

By sharing this opportunity, you’re helping nurture tomorrow’s leaders; those who will drive positive change and contribute to a more sustainable world.
